movieController 1.2 INSTALLATION: For full installation instructions, please refer to the FAQs section of the Flashloaded.com website. If you are upgrading from a previous version of the movieController, you must first uninstall your current version. To uninstall this component, open Macromedia Extension manager with Flash MX closed, select the movieCOntroller component and click on "Remove Extension". You can now install the new version. INSTRUCTIONS: Drop the component onto the stage of which the MovieClip you want to control is on. In order for the buttons of component to appear crisp and clear, the X and Y location of the component should be rounded off to a whole pixel. For example, if the component is placed at X=105.5, Y=32.7, you should change these to: X=106.0, Y=33.0 . Specify the instance name of the movie clip you want to control in the parameters, now just test your movie and it should work fine. You can also set the ‘Scale to MC?’ option to ‘true’ for it to scale to the size of MC you are controlling (this effect will only take place when the movie is tested). TIPS: It’s recommended that if you want the controller to scale to the size of the MovieClip that you create a background inside the MovieClip you are controlling for it to have a size to correspond to. You can have that background transparent, as long as it's there. Remember, the controller will only scale to the size of the MovieClip's width and not according to the distance that the objects in the MovieClip actually move.
