Teknision Extension Builder Panel

The Teknision Extension Builder is accessed as a window in the Flash MX 2004 interface. It is available in the menu:

Window>Other Panels>[TEK]-Extension Builder

The panel contains all of the tools you will need for putting together an extension package. Across the top there are four buttons used to create, open and save files.

New Extension Project:

This button is used to create a new Extension project. An extension Project is a standard Flash project or FLP file. When selecting this option you will be prompted to save an FLP file. It is a good idea to save your projects with the files that will be packaged in the extension. When the file has been saved, the Project will be loaded into the project window for you to add files to.

Open Extension Project:

Use this button to open an existing Extension Project. You will be prompted to open a file. After selecting a project, it will launch in the project panel. You can open any project file with this option, it doesn't have to be an extension project generated from the panel.

This button will also load MXI files directly. When an MXI file is opened, the panel will try to find an FLP file with the same name in the same directory. If it does find it, it will load that project into the projects panel. If not it will generate an FLP file from the MXI file's listed contents.

Launch Project File :

use this button to launch the FLP project file for the Extension Project if it has been closed.

Update MXI :

This button will update the MXI file with any changes made to the Extension Project or Extension Details. The FLP project file does not have to be open to run this process.
