GhostWire TabView
This Flash component allows you to create tabviews - an interface for displaying and navigating between multiple screens within the same area in an application.

Here is a TabView example that uses a classic windows lookalike skin: (filesize 7KB):

This example places the tabs at the bottom instead of the top and darkens inactive tabs; note also that in this example we make the tab component bigger to fit contents in the third tab (filesize 7KB):



Features
Fit Label
Both the two tabview components (tabs-at-the-top and tabs-at-the-bottom) will resize the tabs to fit the labels.

Icons
You can specify icons to be placed to the left of the tab labels. Icons can be specified using the component's properties panel during authoring time, or using the setDataProvider or setTabLabel methods during runtime:


Snap to Pixel
The tab component snaps to pixel when published, ensuring that it looks crisp and sharp when the movie plays. Usually to achieve this, you need to ensure that you place your movieclips at integer coordinates (no decimal place) during authoring time. This is not necessary with GhostWire components, which will automatically snap to pixel when published. For example, if the tab component was placed at x coordinate 20.2, when published it will be placed at x coordinate 20.0 instead. In addition, the component also resizes itself to integer widths and heights.

Based on the GhostWire Component Architecture, creating TabViews that look the way you want is easy. We have included a Green alternative skin to demonstrate the ease of creating your own visual assets for this component.
